The word 'supposingly'
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: Houston (Dean Martin)
Topic: New Facts
Well, I've just learned I've been murdering the English Language ... the word 'supposingly' does not exist ... and I use it with such regularity .. the correct form is supposedly ... but it just does not have the same ring to it as supposingly. I wonder where I picked it from (or probably I've always used it) ... anyway, it is commonly misused word.

Well, I give you English Language Purists fair warning, that I am going to continue to use the word supposingly ... and I'm sorry if it attacks any of your sensibilities. I just like it so much better than supposedly ... supposedly sounds so bland ...
