Hurricane Katrina .....
Mood:  not sure
Now Playing: Spirit in the Sky (Elton John)
Topic: Internet fun things
Well ... won't really call Hurricane Katrina a fun internet thing ... but to me it is ... I've been spending ages just going through all the free video available on MSNBC (the best one so far), CNN, BBC, CBS and ABC websites. That is quite fun keeping abreast with what is going on, and getting the new images. Do love storm tracking .... and Katrina has been great so far (well not for the people who are actually experiencing it) since there is so much different things happening.

Oh I am so upset that I'm not in Trinidad because storm tracking from here is not as fun as if you think you're in the path of the storm. Love getting the satellite images from the National Hurricane Centre, and predicting where it is going to go and if it is going to built its strength. But still Katrina although short-lived was fun still did the satellite imaging stuff. Only thing though is that I can't get all-day news coverage unfortunately, missing my US cable but the internet videos are making up for it (thank goodness for broadband - could you imagine what would have happen if I still had dial up????).

Well, the flood in New Orleans kind of look like the one that Guyana had .... but whilst Guyana was taking it in stride (well in the most part - still joking and laughing about it) these people look totally flustered ...

When I went home in July, because of Hurricane Emily (was fun tracking that one!), Trinidad got a lot of rain ... and there were floods everywhere ... the whole of Trinidad was flooded out I swear, except where we were in Central, which is quite strange since we always get flood ... but what supposedly save us is that the Wymar river washed away the temporary bridge (they were repairing the original one) and there was a free flow of water and hence no flood (shouldn't say no ... a little bit of flood came in our yard).
