Its Ritch's Bday

So, today's Ritch's bday .... I called him 11:55 pm (Trinidad time) - I thought it was midnight ... but he said no .. well ... I wished him a happy birthday anyway. Got to call him later today and talk to him properly ... but right now as we speak - he is supposingly doing his corrections for his thesis. That reminds me ... I should be doing the same ... but I can't seem to find the strength.

We are getting a new room mate today ... her name is Anna-Lise ... she is also french ... oh .. Nathalie is coming this weekend to visit us ... I think she postponed it to the week when she found out Angela's parents were here ... I think the feeling between Angela's mum and Nathalie is mutual. Mrs. I.  ... was saying to Angela ... that she had to remove something (not sure what - didn't hear properly), because Nathalie was abusing it ... and when she realised I was there .. because Angela exclaimed "Mummy" - because she couldn't believe her mum said that ... Mrs. Idakula quickly tagged on that also Judith was abusing it too. I think its perhaps the phone ... because the last time they left ... the phone was moved upstairs. Angela had made some lame excuse like something was broken and the reason for moving it upstairs .... but the phone could work well anyway ... as far as I could see ... because it is a cordless phone ... anyway, who's me to say? Well ... I am spreading the dirty laundry here on the net ... but who's gonna read this??

After posting: had to remove the surname because someone was looking up Angela's and Judith's full name.

Amalia's car radio got stolen

So, Amalia messaged me this morning ... told me that someone broke into her car and stole her deck ... could you imagine?? On campus to booth ... and it was really complete night as yet. It was just 6:45 pm ... and she had just drove back from biotech at 6:00 pm. That is what my precious country is coming too!

Well, at least they didn't steal the car ... and her wallet (she always keeps it there) - they only took some of the money - thankfully they left the credit cards etc. Don't know whey she leaves her wallet in the car - that is always such a risk - but to her that is how she remembers to take her licence!

Anyway, Ritch wasn't too peeved ... it is afterall his deck ... a MP3 and CD player ... probably should get that for his birthday ... His birthday is Monday, totally forgot, until Amalia reminded me. Anyway, I won't have posted it anyhow ... it will cost me an arm and leg from here! Anyway, he got his N-cube to contend with at the moment. Reckon soon he will be sending me a list of games he will like.

First ODI Match WI vs Australia

So, our first ODI was today with Australia ... after a long time ... and WI did not disappoint - we went out in style!We out down in our 46th over with 116 runs yet to be made! At least Lara made 58 ... disappointed that Chanderpaul got out on 46 - could have at least made his half century. Well at least we did better than I thought when I first put on my computer (yup I had to use live cricket scores from Cricmania and ball by ball commentary from Cricket.org ). I was trying to see if I could find a live radio station on the internet with the cricket commentary ... I think Ritch used to know one - so got to contact him find that one ... because this ball by ball commentary is fine for a test match ... but I need live commentary for an ODI ... to feel the excitement. Well ... all this searching for radio stations have not been vain either, since I found a radio page that is playing Indian music! I am not sure if it is just one string of songs that will loop ... but will have to see ... it turned out to be a Guyanese radio. So, far it is good ... lots of old songs ... and interspersed with some songs from the 90s ... got no problem so far. Anyway, got to go do some work ... this was one of my procrastination schemes.

Append (17 Jan): Turns out the website on which the radio I found is just a link to the real radio station ... which is Curry Radio ... turns out the site just usually plays that radio when you open that page ... but the radio is actually a Trinidad station ... but it plays mostly remix and some soca and chutney ... must have been lucky to get pure film music that day ... but it is not too bad ... since it reminds me of home

So, this is the first entry ... I have to get some work done and I figure making my personal blog would be much more interesting. So, here I am doing that ... I have a lot of things to rant and rave about, but at this moment I am just too lazy to do it ... I am trying to build up enough courage to do my work! Anyway, I think I have done it so, I'm going back to my work.
